authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority. Registration
No: 300732. Our permitted business is advising on and arranging mortgages
and General Insurance. You can check this on the FSA’s register by

What fee should
you expect to pay?
Abbey Mortgages Limited may charge you a broker fee, any fee payable will
be added to your loan/mortgage where possible and will only be payable on
completion of you loan/mortgage. The maximum fee payable will be 3% of
your loan/mortgage. Typical APR 6.6%
What to do if you
have a complaint?
If you wish to make a complaint, please contact us in writing. Write to:

If you cannot settle your complaint with us, you may be entitled to refer
it to the Financial Services Ombudsman.
Are we covered by
the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS)?
We are covered by the (FSCS). You may be entitled to compensation from the
scheme if we cannot meet our obligations. This depends on the type of
business and the circumstances of the claim.
Mortgage advising and arranging is covered for 100% of the first £30,000
and 90% of the next £20,000, so the maximum compensation is £48,000.
Insurance advising and arranging is cover for 100% of the first £2,000 and
90% of the remainder of the claim, without any upper limit. Further
information about compensation scheme arrangements is available from the
FSCS.
Who’s mortgages do
we offer?
Abbey Mortgages Limited is an independent mortgages broker and therefore
we can offer mortgages from the whole of the market. We are not tied to
only using a single lender or a small selection. This enables us to
provide the best possible mortgage to suit your individual requirements.
Who’s Insurance
products do we offer?
Paymentshield are our main provider of Mortgage Payment Protection and
Buildings & Contents insurance. They provide competitive products and have
excellent service standards.
When providing Term Assurance for our clients we select from the top six
providers: Scottish Provident, Scottish Equitable, AXA, Legal & General,
Norwich Union and Friends Provident. |
